Process

Sanglim(上林) is the fourth project by jang minseung + jung jaeil, based on the Sanglim Forest which a thousand year forest nested in Hamyang-gun in Gyeongsangnam-do South Korea.

This application contains music and images that have inspired us while observing and documenting the poetry hidden in Sanglim Forest during our stay in 2013

Creatures that inhabited the realms, relationship between human and nature, and its history.
In order to not disturb the thousand year balance, we have tried to portray the intangible - the air we breath, the wind that occasionally whistles through the woods.

The GPSmap inside this application will guide you through five points in the Sanglim Forest.
Once you reach these points specific music that have been composed for each point will automatically play.

The music, the scenery, and the physical involvement that occurs as you walk will enhance your experience and will guide you to the multiple faces and stories these woods have to offer

上林(상림)은 경상남도 함양에 위치한 천년의 숲, 상림을 배경으로하는 장민승+정재일의 네 번째 작업입니다.

이 어플리케이션에는 저희가 2013년의 상림을 관찰하고 기록하며 받은 여러가지 느낌과 감동을 바탕으로 작업된 음악과 영상이 담겨져 있습니다.

그 곳에 살아가는 생명들, 인간과 숲, 그리고 역사.
수천년을 이어온 그 깊은 관계들을 방해하지 않기 위해 숨쉬는 공기, 이따금씩 불어오는 바람과도 같은 무형의 어떤 것으로 표현해 보고자 하였습니다.

이 어플리케이션은 내장된 GPS와 지도를 이용하여 상림의 다섯 지점으로 당신을 인도하게 됩니다.
어느 지점에 이르게 되면 각각의 스팟을 위해 위해 작업된 음악들이 자동으로 재생됩니다.
듣고, 보고, 걸으며 감각을 집중함으로서 숲의 표정과 그 안의 이야기들을 더욱 입체적으로 느낄 수 있게 될 것입니다.
